Remember, remember the 5th of November

Holy Cannoli  The year has gone by so fricken' fast, I know I haven't blogged in ages & damn it, I've already turned 22. :/

I've been up to nothing really. Playing with Nerf blasters on Saturday mornings with my friends, visited Legoland recently, bleached my fringe & still looking for a job.

New wardrobe, new colour in my room & finally renovations are over and yes I know, pictures are SO overdue.

It has been easier to write things now, and I love it! It used to take me forever to get something done (still does happen occasionally). Nothing new but my level of English has dropped, it is so embarrassing  Spelling is still a bitch, a whole lot of reading & writing are in order.

Now that I have new cupboards, a lot of sorting is taking place & man, it is crazy. Now I have too much space, lol. Might take awhile to get the house is order. The goal is end of November so we can party in December! :)

That is, if you want to celebrate 20.12.2012 with me. :)

Until my next post most likely on Saturday, take care & thanks for sticking around :P

PS, here's some kittens to cheer you up. Courtesy of Tumblr :)

Kickstarter, Y U MAKE ME BROKE?!

I apologize for the unnecessary hiatus. I've just been way too lazy to do anything good. D: the horror! Now, about the title. I believe I've spent RM600 +/- on items on kickstarter. I hope you know what is kickstarter.com all about, but if you don't, it's very simple, crowdfunding. It might take me forever to explain, so get clicking over to www.kickstarter.com to find out more. I'd like to highlight a couple of items I've purchased.

Printing with light!

This was the 1st project I backed & I have to say, it looks amazing. I don't have an iphone,
but my brother has one, so I use the app to convert the pictures to a negative and get to work!
Sadly the project has been funded, so keep up with Lumi.co's website for updates when sales are open to the public :)

Charge Card

It's a charger cable, as slim as a card which you can put into your wallet, so you don't have to worry about carrying a cable around. Quick! Only 17 days left to pledge and to get a charge card!
 They also ship internationally ;)

Duck Quest

I love Louie Zong's work. I pledged 5$ to this project & I think I'm gonna ask for a caricature of myself. 21 days left to to pledge for Duck Quest & be handsomely rewarded! ;)

Roll Pro

This project got reached its funding goal last night. After showing this to my mum, she said I could actually make it lol. However, I don't sewing skills, boo hoo. Nevertheless, great investment :)

Time for me to stop shopping online, because I'm saving up to travel!

The Saturdays

5 piece girl band from the UK, came to Malaysia twice, back in 2009. Here are the links back to my old blog for the Showcase at Zouk and for the Manicure & Pedicure at Nail Parlour

Now that you know who is who, let's get to the fun facts.

  • The reason the group is called The Saturdays is it's their favourite day of the week.
  • The group have 3 albums; Chasing Lights, Wordshaker & On Your Radar.
  • Rochelle & Frankie were in S Club 8 (was first named S Club Juniors)
  • Rochelle is engaged to Marvin from JLS (check them out!)
  • Una has just given birth to a lovely baby girl with her soon to be husband Ben

Their singles have only peaked number 2 on charts but the girls are working hard to get their number 1. In Malaysia, you won't hear The Saturdays's songs on the radio. Only when they come down and maybe during British Invasion. Pathetic right? That is just how radio works in this country.

Eff The Police... I mean mainstream shitty music on radio's in Malaysia. Let's see how The Saturdays have grown musically.

"If This Is Love" back in 2009

"Higher" in 2010

"All Fired Up" in 2011

Their latest single "30 Days"

I've just had a thing for music artist from the UK. I mean, I loved S Club 7 and I always will. Their songs are just not all about sex! Unlike the others. See you in June! But till then,

Protecting your Blackberry Torch 9800 till kingdom come!

2 months of just sitting at home with no inspiration to blog. Meh.

I know, I left with my NYC Video (WIP, work in progress). My Vegas Pro trial has ended. boohoo. Time to buy it I guess. Not the 800$ but some other one in the line. Let's get back to the title post, protecting your Blackberry Torch 9800 till kingdom come!

I purchased the Torch back in 2010. I never really did a review on it because I didn't know how and it would be my own opinion on it. LOL!

I should have bought all the protective casing before I got the phone. Also, I felt like an early adopter for this phone. *le sigh* I had to wait for about 2 months or so for the full protective casing from Otterbox, as I purchased it online on the Low Yat Forums

The Otterbox for the Torch was great at first, until I dropped my phone a couple of times and the front plate broke because it only has 2 clasps, on the top & bottom. Many people complained about how flimsy it was. Getting a replacement would be a waste of time. Eventually, I stumbled upon a video of a guy who made himself a hybrid protective phone case. It was about 8 minutes long, so I'll cut it short for you.

He used the back portion of the Otterbox (silicon & hard plastic) and the front cover of the Platinum Series Case for Blackberry Torch 9800 along with the front protector which can put your phone into sleep mode as well.

In total, I've spent 35.00$ (RM105) for the Platinum Series Case, 35.00 ++$ (RM120) for the Otterbox and soon, 10$ (RM40) for the screen protector.

But because the phone is about to turn 2 in November and the fact that I've dropped it multiple times before I got my Otterbox, I am going to get a new housing for the phone & that will set me back yet another RM200. All these problems could have been solved if I had just got these items before I got the phone. Damn it.

If you are purchasing a new phone, and you know you might have the tendency of dropping it, buy an Otterbox (if you're using an iPhone, cuz Otterbox iPhone cases are indeed amazing) and if it's for bar phones for Blackberry, the Otterbox will work well. Slider phones may need a lot of work like mine.

May the force be with you, until my next post. Cheers!

New York City! (Work in progress)

Ahh, feels so good to be using Sony Vegas again. I had to use iMovie when I was doing my internship. Not so much of a Apple fan if you can't tell. :P

I hope to have this video up by tomorrow evening. Still wish I recorded more stuff while I was there. Here's to hoping I get to visit NYC again someday.

Pictures will be up on Photobucket with a link. Some awesome ones shall make their appearance here.

One Tree Hill, the show that saved my life

From the title, you would have guessed that I'm a huge fan of One Tree Hill, and probably think I'm a lunatic for saying a show saves people. If you're thinking that, you're wrong.

2010 was the year I was in a dark place. I think I hit the lowest of lows thanks to somebody who couldn't keep their mouth shut and put me in a whole lot pain & confusion.

Sadly, I didn't pick up watching One Tree Hill during my darkest days. I started watching it in late 2010, probably November or December. Took a lot to get past the Pilot because it was in a 4:3 format. :P Once I got passed the first episode, I could not stop watching. I got addicted because I started to relate with the characters. If you're wondering which character I would be, it will be a cross between Lucas & Haley.

There are times when I wished I had a friendship like Brooke and Peyton. A best friend you can run to and talk about anything. Without the drama of boys that is lol!

Also, lies were told. People telling you they are gonna be there for you when you need them the most, however they vanish and they think it's alright to waltz right back into your life like its okay.

The show is coming to an end. 9 seasons, 187 episodes. I was lucky enough to go to Wilmington, North Carolina where they filmed One Tree Hill. Let me just say, that the photo's will be up soon on my photobucket. When its up, it would be a 'Suemitraa invades Tree Hill' *inserts evil laugh*

If you are a fan of One Tree Hill, please leave a comment below on how much the show means to you. If you're lucky, who knows, the cast of One Tree Hill could give YOU a shout out.

Till the next post (that is coming up shortly) take care everyone! Have a great week ahead.

2012

So much for trying to update a lot more last year yeah? LOL. Truth is, I got bored, no inspiration, the list can go on. I think it would be easier if pretended that I'm actually talking to someone. Yeah, sounds like a good idea.

2012. Finally got my internship started. I'm proud to say that I'm an intern at Malaysia's number 1 English hit station, hitz.fm :)

I need to get the episodes of 'Take Me Out' that I was on, so that you may laugh at the episodes while I hide my face in a paperbag :B

It is funny how I have 799 friends on facebook, yet I can't go running to anyone of them when I need someone to talk to. It is not like I need to feel the love from so many people, but the fact that I don't have a safety net? I probably did have a Brooke & Peyton friendship with 1 person. But now, guess what? We're practically like strangers, again.

Everyone I put my faith in has disappointed me to the point that I have no faith in anyone. I expect people to disappoint, I expect that to screw up, heck it's like nothing matters anymore. Most of my good friends are not even here.

There are nights when I can't sleep and all my mind does is replay the good times and then hits me in the gut by shoving reality in my face. Of course, listen to sad songs when you're already sad and then you become depressed.

I'm so sorry that I cared
